Are you tired of all of the hassle that comes from shaving with a razor? Are you tired of rashes, ingrown hairs, and the other negative effects that are seen with waxing and shaving? If so, laser hair reduction is something that you may have been considering. We are excited to tell you about what you can expect from this treatment.
How Does Laser Hair Reduction Work?
The energy from the laser disables the hair follicle. In some cases, the hair actually pops out when the treatment is being performed. Even if the hair does not pop out at the moment the treatment is performed, it will fall out eventually. Since the hair follicle has been damaged, it is unlikely that the hair will grow again.
What You Can Expect
The first thing that you will need to do is schedule a consultation. This consultation is designed to help you learn as much about the treatment as possible. All of the questions that you have about when you will see results, how many treatments you can expect, and what sensations you will experience will be answered during this consultation. This is also necessary so that the medical professional who works with you can ask any questions about your health to determine your candidacy for treatment.
If it is determined that you are a good candidate for laser hair reduction, it is likely that your first treatment can follow your initial consultation. We will get you situated in a comfortable position where our technician will have easy access to the area that you would like to have treated.
Will You See Immediate Results?
Our clients will need to return to our office to have at least six to eight laser hair reduction treatments in order to get the best results. These are typically spaced at least a couple of weeks apart. The reason why it is necessary to return is because of the growth cycles that the hair on the body goes through. In order to get the best results, we need to treat hairs that are going through an active growing stage. We will design a treatment plan that is right for your specific needs.
